McDonald's has sent fans into a frenzy when they announced they were adding two new dipping sauces to their menu.
The fast food franchise teased them on social media this week, at first only revealing the date, however, we now know the flavors.
One is called "Mambo" sauce, which is apparently based on a popular sauce in the D.C. area. It's described as a tomato-based sauce that's "sweet, spicy, and vinegary."
The other is called Sweet & Spicy Jam and it's their first-ever breakfast-inspired dipping sauce. It's described as a "jammy red pepper sauce with a tongue-numbing Szechuan peppercorn kick, and extra heat from cayenne pepper."
Both sauces are expected to hit menus on October 9th, but only for a limited time, and no word on exactly how long they'll be around.
The last time that McDonald's added a sauce was last year when they brought back the elusive Szechuan sauce for a limited time. The sauce originally debuted in the '90s for the release of Disney's "Mulan", but it got popular again thanks to an episode of the show "Rick and Morty".
