You've probably heard of the common wedding tradition where the bride and groom smear cake in each other's faces. Or maybe you've heard of people smashing pies or cakes in each other's faces as a prank, but beware; apparently, it can be dangerous.
There is a bakery that is putting warning labels on its cake boxes to let customers know that smashing cakes in people's faces can lead to impalement.
The label reads: "There is a clip in the middle of the cake board to keep the cake stable during transportation. Behaviors such as traditional face-smashing into the cake can result in severe injury."
The bakery is a chain called Paris Baguette, and a spokesperson confirmed that they've been using the warnings for "several years" now.
The company says the "caution" is just to "reinforce safety protocols," however they never clarified whether or not anyone actually has been killed or severely injured by one of their cakes.
The person who posted the photo online said, "The cake was tasty . . . we followed instructions."
