A mother convicted two times of killing her toddler son - who became known as "baby lollipops" - is set to go in front of a Miami-Dade judge again.
Ana Maria Cardona's two previous death sentences were overturned on technicalities.
Prosecutors will now push for life in prison on the first-degree murder charge.Back in 1990 her son, Lazaro Figueroa, was found discarded in some Miami Beach bushes.
The three-year-old weighed only 18 pounds, and because detectives had a hard time identifying him, he became known for the T-shirt he wore with lollipops on it.
