We love watching award shows like the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Our favorite celebrities get dolled up in beautiful (and ridiculous) outfits and the suspense of seeing whether our favorite shows win or lose can keep us up even on work night.
Some say this is all we want and need out of these award shows and would prefer celebrities opted out of political topics. To name just a few, Ashton Kutcher spoke against Trump's Muslim Ban, as you can see from the video below.
William H. Macy said "I would like to go against the grain this evening and thank President Trump for making Frank Gallagher seem so normal." Frank Gallagher is the drunken character Macy plays in the hit drama Shameless.
Many others used their moments in the spotlight to speak their mind about the Trump Presidency so far. What do you think about this? Is it a good thing that celebrities use their voice to address political issues or should they stick to their art and let the public handle the politics?
