Mom Rejects Son's Perfect Attendance Award

I don't think I ever had perfect attendance in school, in any grade. But I do remember the fuss made for those who did. This mom entirely rejects the idea of rewarding perfect attendance, even if it's her own child who's receiving the award. Check out her Facebook post explaining.

I personally agree with her reasons. I'm of the "no participation trophies" school of thought. In other words, you don't get brownie points for being on time. You're supposed to be on time. Getting lucky doesn't get you extra praise. Luck isn't hard work, it's just luck.

What do you think?
