It's such a difficult topic to discuss, oftentimes because it's so misunderstood. But 1 in 5 adults has a mental health condition. This is a seriously large number of Americans, over 40 million, and the topic needs to be more fearlessly addressed publicly like this.
There is nothing wrong with feeling depressed. You're not weak or wrong to feel depressed. You do however owe it to yourself to seek professional help. You matter. If you suffered from high blood pressure or diabetes, you'd go see a doctor and follow the necessary steps to get better. You should do the same if you think you might be depressed.
