Living in South Florida is amazing and the ocean and pools makes for a huge part of what brings us to this peninsula to live and on vacation. But there are so many dangers to being surrounded by water, especially for the little ones. In fact, drowning is the leading cause of injury death to children from 1 to 4 years old and the majority of these drownings happen in home pools or when caregivers didn't know the chid was near water.
It's so important to make sure our little ones can swim. Broward County is helping their residents out.
The Children’s Services Council of Broward County funds SWIM Central to provide a coupon with a value of $40 to help off-set swimming instruction for children ages 6 months to 4 years old (Broward County residents only).
