This is so powerful.
Just last weekend our 939MIA team was celebrating pride at Wilton Manors, I hosted the 20/50 Stonewall Pride Parade, and it was beautiful. It never ceases to amaze me - even after 4 years of hosting Pride events all over South Florida - how much love and positive energy there is in the crowds. But this doesn't change that getting there has been hard for so many in this community. Acceptance and strength can be difficult to find, even within your own family.
