There's been a water main break near the airport in Fort Lauderdale. Residents will not have running water for at least the next 24 hours. This is affecting residents, businesses, and hospitals.
Many are rushing to markets to buy bottled water and have enough to fill tubs so they can flush their toilets.
City spokesman Chaz Adams said residents and businesses should be prepared to be without water service until at least Friday morning.
Other cities affected include Davie, Tamarac, Oakland Park, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Wilton Manors and Port Everglades, since they get their water service from Fort Lauderdale.
Fort-Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport is not impacted.
