After what feels like 100 years it seems like the Palmetto Expressway is finally finished! Today the Florida Department of transportation has opened all southbound Palmetto express lanes so there will be slightly different driving patterns.
The tolls for the express lanes are still not charging, but when they begin charging for using these express lanes the signs overhead will advise drivers of the toll amount.
Many who have already been on the Palmetto after the opening of the express lane say the traffic is actually worse now than it was before when all the lanes were open for all drivers. Have you been on the Palmetto since the opening of the express lane? Do you think it's an improvement?
