In the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, the County’sParks and Recreation Department(PBC Parks) andEnvironmental Resources Management Department(ERM), along with other community organizations, will host a county-wide weekend beach cleanup event on Saturday, September 7. The cleanups are prompted by the impacts of Hurricane Dorian, which caused large volumes of plastic, trash and debris to wash ashore.
Water, gloves and trash bags will be provided at the cleanups, and volunteers are asked to please dress appropriately and use sun protection. Volunteers are welcome to join the effort by meeting on-site at the following locations, Saturday, September 7, from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM:
