I was really looking forward to this and I’m glad I wasn’t let down! Kelly Clarkson finally kicked off her talk show yesterday and, while one episode is not enough to tell if the show will be good or last, it’s enough for me to know I’ll be tuning in again today. Don’t tell my boss!
As expected at Kelly’s lighthearted sense of humor is all over the show. In fact, it was the opening as she had Steve Carell introduce her by I conically yelling her name the same as he did in 40 Year Old Virgin as his character was getting his chest waxed. If you’ve never watched the movie, do it. It’s everything.
Kelly had a fun moments while interviewing Dwayne the rock Johnson, tearjerking moments bringing in community leaders and musical moments covering artists like Shawn Mendes, Billie Eilish, and others during the episode.
All around the show was light and fun. I can’t wait to see has she continues to grow in this new role. So far it looks like it suits her really well.
