Robert Garrison, who was best known for his role as Tommy in the early installments ofThe Karate Kid, died on Friday (September 27). He was 59.
As per TMZ, the late actor was battling kidney and liver problems. Garrison passed away in a hospital in West Virginia, where he had been for over a month before his organs shut down. He is survived by his brother, Patrick, and Patrick's wife, Linda. His family is currently working on funeral arrangements. In a statement from his rep, Garrison was referred to as "an ambassador toThe Karate Kid legacy." "Rob was a great person and ambassador toThe Karate Kid legacy. His performance in Season 2 ofCobra Kai, being his last, was simply amazing and he stole the episode. He will be missed by me and everyone he encountered," the statement read.
