Police Officer Captures Breathtaking Video of Homeless Woman. Goes Viral

This is breathtaking.

An officer in the Los Angeles Police Department was so moved by this talented woman that he recorded her singing while he was stationed at the Wilshire and Normandie Purple Line station. Her rendition of Puccini Aria is truly enchanting.

The officer posted to Twitter captioning the video with "4 million people call LA home. 4 million stories. 4 million voices...sometimes you just have to stop and listen to one, to hear something beautiful." The video has since been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

The woman was eventually identified as 52-year-old Emily Zamourka: a Russian woman with no traditional vocal training, although she was classically trained on piano and violin.

As the story goes, her $10,000 violin was stolen 3 years ago and a wrist injury led her to homelessness. Turns out, Michael Trujillo got wind of the story and started a GoFundMe account to help Emily purchase a new violin and begin to use her talents again to get back on her feet.
