The Grammy's took place yesterday, just hours after the news broke that Kobe Bryant and his daughter had died in a tragic helicopter accident. Alicia Keys, tasked with hosting the show, shared that "never in a million years did we think we'd have to start the show like this so we wanted to do something that could describe a tiny bit how we all feel right now." After her touching opening monologue Keys was joined on stage by Boys II Men for beautiful and emotional interpretation of "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday."
The crowd was inevitably in tears and the performance closed with the cameras panning to Kobe's retired jerseys hanging high in the stadium.
