Miami Beach to Auction Original Lifeguard Towers

The City Miami Beach is offering the ultimate souvenir — two real lifeguard towers! These retired Miami Beach towers hit the auction block yesterday and will surely make a unique gift for any visitor or local.

Wondering how much this will set you back? In the past, towers have sold for as little as $150 and as much as $3,050.

Towers are currently on display at the beach on 10 Street. One is currently sporting a San Francisco 49ers motif, while the other is rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. Beachgoers are encouraged to snap a photo in front of their Super Bowl LIV pick.

Visit www.publicsurplus.com and search “City of Miami Beach” on the site to find them. Highest bidders are responsible for transporting the towers.
