Uber is testing out a new way to call a ride: a 1-800 number.
The number is only available to people in Arizona for now. The phone number will give riders without access to the app, to call 1-833-USE-UBER to request a ride from a live team member.
That customer service rep will provide upfront pricing for the rider. Riders will also need to have a text-based mobile phone to receive messages about driver's license plate details, ETA, and driver's name.
This new feature is aimed at helping senior citizens who might not have access to a smart phone or the app.
