Target Set To Close For Thanksgiving This Year, Following Walmart's Lead

Target Corp. Reported A 4 percent increase in second-quarter profits

A new trend seems to be emerging amongst the major chain stores in the U.S. as Target is now also closing for Thanksgiving this year, following Walmart's lead. So yes, that means that the normal chaos of Black Friday is going to be super different this year. Seems like employees are going to be getting a massive, well-deserved break in the wake of COVID-19.

In their website's blog post, Target had this to say: “Let’s face it: Historically, deal hunting and holiday shopping can mean crowded events, and this isn’t a year for crowds."

What do you think of this move? Is there any other store you think you needs to take a break? Any sort of event that should be cancelled?
