There are very few movies I can watch over and over again, and The Matrix is one of them. I’m excited for Matrix 4 (even though the release date was pushed back).
And, on top of loving the movies, I'm REALLY excited about the idea of owning some Matrix costumes & props! But is it actually a possibility? Eh, not for me. I can't imagine spending this much on movie memorabilia! I’ve collected a few things over my years in radio but I don’t think all of them combined even amount to 1% of the cost of some these items.
Just in time for Christmas, a prop auction is happening where you can get Keanu Reeves’ Matrix Reloaded outfit. Neo’s black, high-collared long-coat is valued between $52,000 and $78,000.
Other items available for bidding include Maverick’s bomber jacket from Top Gun, the lightsaber Obi-Wan Kenobi used in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and the boots Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman as she walked down the street. The boots are valued between $13,000 and $19,000.
There will be over 900 items available for sale from The Prop Store’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auctions on December 1st and 2nd.
