We had the pleasure of having Micki Purcell on with us this morning to talk about the incredible story behind her organization Walking With Anthony and her son who inspired her and other to give back in a big way. Even though they can’t do their traditional events this year an all-star team has gathered to help raise money virtually.
Walking With Anthony believes that everyone with a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) should have equal access to life-altering medical care. We provide direct and immediate assistance to individuals and families through our granting programs.
Although proven therapies and solutions for those with SCI are already in existence, they are largely unavailable to the average person. The cost to get just one person out of a wheelchair is exorbitant, and insurance doesn’t cover it. We are here to change that. Our focus: RECOVERY through REHAB.
