Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine could be approved for younger patients as early as this week.

The FDA is reportedly set to authorize the vaccine for children between the ages of 12 and 15. Currently the vaccine is only authorized for people 16 and older.

Pfizer says the vaccine was 100% effective for children in that age range in clinical tests. If approved, young people could start getting vaccinated by the end of this month.
