Royal Caribbean is the first cruise line to be approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to do a "test sail" in U.S. waters. The cruise line's Freedom of the Seas ship will be allowed to sail with volunteer passengers.

Vaccine requirements are not mandatory for the test sailings, according to the CDC.

But, passengers will be screened for any Covid-19 symptoms and have to agree to be tested three to five days following the cruise. Cruise ships were halted fifteen months ago when the pandemic hit.
