Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s “The Voice” host Carson Daly officiated their wedding this past weekend, and now Carson is spilling some more details about the big day.
“It was incredible to be part of such an important moment in their lives,” Carson shared on “Today.” “The best way to describe it is it was perfectly them — the whole weekend and the marriage itself. It was as elegant and refined and cool as Gwen is, and it was as country and down-home and fun as Blake is.”
He added, “They're an unlikely pair,” noting, “They're like if you pair delicious fried chicken with a glass of champagne. On paper and on the menu it doesn't seem to work, but it works. It's comfort food with class. And everybody roots for that.”
· Meanwhile, Vera Wang, who designed Gwen’s two wedding dresses, shared details about her looks, including how Gwen incorporated her three sons – 15-year-old Kingston, 12-year-old Zuma and seven-year-old Apollo - into the outfit.
Vera also designed a shorter party dress and veil for the big day, which also included a shout out to Gwen's family with a “pair of hand sewn love birds symbolizing the couple,” which were “joined by 3 baby love birds representing Gwen's children.” As for Blake, he paired his tuxedo jacket and tie with his signature blue jeans.
