Britney Spears is being investigated for battery of her housekeeper, and the incident revolves around her dogs. The housekeeper reportedly took the dogs to the vet and never returned them, worried they were being mistreated, but apparently the pooches are finally home.
A source tells “People” that Brit was “reunited with her dogs before the weekend" is "thrilled."
"Her dogs are a sensitive breed that often has health issues. She has gotten clear instructions about how to care for the dogs now," the source explains, noting the "housekeeper no longer works for her." Another source claims Britney has “more help now" when it comes to the pooches."
Meanwhile, sources tell the New York Post that Britney “adores her dogs and would never mistreat them,” and is “demanding answers” as to why they were taken away in the first place. “She’s been through this before,” an insider notes. “Her conservators used to threaten to take her children away from her …It’s an all too familiar — and heartbreaking — feeling for her.”
· As for the police investigation regarding Britney’s alleged battery of the housekeeper, the singer’s lawyer insists it was “nothing more than a ‘he said, she said’ regarding a cell phone, with no striking and obviously no injury whatsoever.”
