Art Basel and Design Miami are one of the best times to visit South Beach or the downtown area of Miami (I specifically stick to Wynwood). I’m by no means a art aficionado but Basel has something for everyone! It’s also a great time to get out and support our community!

Here are a few things you can check out:

55 Sunrise, located on the beach at 17th St. It’s an installation featuring artist Sho Shibuya and presented by Satin Laurent (best part is it’s FREE)

Wynwood’s Museum of Graffiti is hosting a free exhibit at the Confidante. The Museum has teamed up with an all-female graffiti collective, and will build a skate ramp in the hotel’s backyard. It’s going on now through Friday. There will also be a new gallery show from Few and Far on display in the Confidante’s first floor lobby.

While you check out Art Basel, take your little ones to hang out at the fair’s free kindergarten and playroom on site, where they’ll be entertained and educated by a team from Miami Children’s Museum. They’ll have much more fun learning about art history through arts and crafts than following you around the show.

This kid friendly exhibit at The Bass is incredible. Kids can enjoy “Art with a view,” a multimedia exhibit featuring works from Italian artist Paolo Pivi.

Friday 12/3

La Prairie is hosting its first-ever pop-up Beach Club, offering guests a beachfront installation from 12PM-4PM to enjoy beauty treatments and some R+R. The brand will also reveal its latest artistic collaboration.

Saturday 12/4

Cardi B will celebrate the launch of her vodka-infused non-diary whipped cream, Whipshots, with a party at Strawberry Moon.

Really great time to check out LIVE music at Oasis in Wynwood
