Apparently, word started to spread like wildfire that, after more than 40 years, a Toronto staple restaurant called Randy's Patties was being forced to close their doors due to COVID-related supply chain issues.
One of the people who got word of the restaurant's closing was Toronto native Drake, who Tweeted, "I'll buy Randy's right now. And give it back to them."
Randy's explained their dilemma in an Instagram post, clarifying that they're closing due to, quote, "years of endless [subway] construction, 2 years of COVID, labor shortages, and aging owners." They also added that they plan to, "Re-evaluate our next steps going forward."
Although, it's still not clear as to whether or not they'll be taking any help from Drake.
