Warner Brothers has revived the Hollywood Classic, Father of the Bride, but this time with an authentically cuban twist in the form of Andy Garcia as Billy Herrara "the dad" and Gloria Estefan as Ingrid "the mom", along with a predominantly Latin cast including Adria Arjona who's plays the bride to be Sofia, Diego Boneta the groom to be, and Isabella Merced as Cora, Sofia's sister.
The film, directed by Gaz Alazraki and written by Matt Lopez, delivers on authenticity — using actors who speak Spanish fluently and working in cultural nuances rather than relying on the broad stroke representation of Latinos we have come to expect from Hollywood.
