OK...I was hoping that 2022 was DONE throwing us curve balls, but it looks like that Christmas Wish just ain't getting granted!
Yesterday I was scrolling the gram and came across a post that had me SHOOK...
Guys, I have NO idea how my IG algorithm MISSED this when the news officially broke back in late November, but I was so sad when I saw this!
I mean here's a guy who literally saves the galaxy for a living. He's larger than life and CLEARLY in incredible shape...
Unfortunately, he's also found out that he's 8-10 times more likely to develop Alzheimer's at some point in his life to the fact he's got 2 copies of the gene ApoE4, one from his mom and one from his dad. Only 2 to 3 percent of the global population carries two copies of the gene.
It's due to this recent development that Chris has decided to take an "indefinite break" from acting once he's finished with his press tour for his latest show, Limitless, which is a DocuSeries he's doing in collaboration with Disney+. The show is actually the reason he was able to make this discovery. It was confirmed after an in-depth series of blood work and genetic tests, which were initially supposed to be revealed live to camera, however, series creator Darren Aronofsky decided to tell him privately once he got the results.
Chris sat down for an in-depth interview with Vanity Fair back in November where he discussed the impact this revelation has had on his life, his priorities, and how he intends to move forward, and also explains how scary the thought of "not remembering" his beautiful life is to him.
We fully support whatever measures he feels are necessary to get ahead of this and he seems to be in good spirits stating he hasn't been "handed his resignation" and acknowledging that Alzheimers prevention is all about taking the proper steps....sleep management, stress management, nutrition, movement, fitness.
As soon as he's wrapped his contractual obligations Chris said he'll be heading to Byron Bay, Australia to spend some much needed quality time with his partner, Elsa Pataky, and their 3 children.
Sending them all lots of Love & Light!
PS...check out Limitless now streaming on Disney+!!!
