Lil Wayne kicked off the ESPY ceremony at the Dolby Theater in LA on Wednesday night (7/12/32) with a remix of one of his most popular songs.
The Hip-Hop and rapper icon performed a sports-themed version of his 2008 hit song "A Milli," showing love to legendary athletes.
During the remixed performance, Lil Wayne nodded to LSU star Angel Reese in his rap, “And I’m over New Orleans like an Angel, Reese.”
Wayne also changed the lyrics to honor Damar Hamlin, Coach Deion “Prime” Sanders, and NBA number one draft pick Victor Wembanyama.
Wayne also referenced the NCAA NIL rule changes rapping, “I want my NIL so I’m going back to college/ Tattoos on my face you can call me Dennis Rodman.”
