The community in Portland, Oregon, is pitching in to help out a dog who was tossed from an overpass on Interstate 5. Hank the dog was seriously injured in the fall, but April Eells’ mom was driving past and pulled over to help.
She works at a veterinary clinic and is helping Hank get the care and surgeries he needs. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but he’s in the right hands. With vet bills adding up, April and her family have been raising money for Hank, thanks to people in their community coming together. They’ve held a car wash and set up a campaign, which has raised over $7-thousand so far.
“The amount of gratitude we are filled with, the outpouring of love, support and generosity has been overwhelming,” April writes on the fundraising site.
