A convenience store manager is crediting his dog with saving lives during a shootout with armed robbers. On Tuesday morning at 4am, a pair of armed robbers entered Big A Market in Philadelphia with their guns drawn. Security video shows the two men rushing in and store manager Sammy Aloubeh says one of them pointed a gun at his employee.
The surveillance footage shows the store clerk sitting on the couch and then as the dog jumps on the suspect, the clerk takes out a gun and fires. The first suspect is seen running away, but the second suspect shoots at the clerk multiple times. Police confirm the employee was shot four times and is being treated at a local hospital, but the store manager says his dog - whose name is Bullet - prevented the situation from turning deadly.
Sammy believes that if Bullet hadn’t jumped on the would-be robber when he did, the clerk would have been shot before she was able to fire her gun. “He saved my life and her life,” Sammy says of his dog.
