ICYMI: The NYT claims Travis Kelce invented “The Fade”…He Disagrees!

So after this week Imma need the NY Times to go in search of some culturally “aware” writers because the current staff…Just AIN’T IT!!!

If you’re wondering what I’m talking about, here’s a little taste of the NY TIMES Headline that had “the culture” up in arms…

”They’ll Take the Travis Kelce — Hairdo, That Is
Not since Jennifer Aniston has a haircut become so popular. Barbers, in America and abroad, are being inundated with requests for “the Travis Kelce.”

The haircut they’re referencing is of course the “The Fade” and was in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM created by Mr.Kelce. In fact the history of the Fade goes back to the 1930s and became popular during WWII…you can click HERE for a more detailed history of the classic haircut courtesy of Rich the Barber.

But the point is…it’s been around for almost 100yrs!!! How can something thats almost 100yrs old, and also a cultural staple in communities of color…you know what…never mind! Just take a listen to what Travis had to say about the Cut Controversy heard in barbershops around the world…

Thank You Baby Jesus…at least the boy got some damn sense!!!
