(Orlando, FL) -- The man accused of murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend and an Orlando police officer is getting a new attorney. At a hearing for Markeith Loyd yesterday, a judge appointed Ted Marrero to serve as co-counsel to Loyd's attorney, Roger Weeden.
The judge is also considering a defense request to hire an expert to help Loyd avoid the death penalty.
He's charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Sade Dixon and Lieutenant Debra Clayton.
