(Zolfo Springs, FL) -- Florida's largest dairy cooperative is putting new practices in place for the state's dairy farms following recent allegations of animal mistreatment.
Southeast Milk CEO Jim Sleper will announce the changes at a news conference today in the Hardee County town of Zolfo Springs.
Undercover video produced earlier this month by an activist group called Animal Recovery Mission revealed abuses of dairy cows and other animals. The incidents occurred at the Larson and Burnham dairy farms, both located in Okeechobee.
