It's a rare sight in Florida but snow is apparently a possibility this week. Meteorologists say snow flurries are possible in Central Florida Wednesday night into Thursday morning with temperatures expected to fall into the 20s. And forecasters say snow flurries are possible tomorrow morning in the Tallahassee area with temperatures in the low 30s.
A cold front is bringing some of the lowest temperatures in years to North and Central Florida. A hard freeze warning has been issued for the Panhandle, including the counties of Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa, with lows of 15 to 20 degrees expected over the next several nights. Wind chill advisories are in effect this morning for the Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando areas. Wind chills around 20 degrees are forecast for Tallahassee and Jacksonville and are expected to drop into the low 30s in Tampa and Orlando.
