As Florida's U.S. Senate candidates battle for the support of Puerto Rican voters, Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson picks up an endorsement today. Pedro Rosello, the former governor of Puerto Rico and father of the current governor, will announce his support for Nelson at appearances with the senator in Tampa and Kissimmee.
Both Nelson and Republican Governor Rick Scott have been courting the vote of Puerto Rican voters, whose ranks have swelled after tens of thousands relocated from the island to Florida following the devastation of Hurricane Maria.
